Hello!
I'm Katharina and I love to paint tiny things, mostly on my nails. :) I'm quite OCD when it comes to colors and symmetry, so patterns are my favorite to wear. Painting relaxes me and I love how I can create something on my own. It's a huge part of my life and just makes me happy!

When I was still in school I had an art teacher who used to paint the tiniest worlds with acrylic paint on a piece of A4 paper. I was intrigued and I absolutely loved that! But I never knew what small things I could draw, since I don't like to copy and I'd rather be unique in my own way.

2010 I decided I want more green nail polishes, which was a rare thing back then. My Mama used to buy me some wherever she went and I suddenly had more green polishes than any other colors. Here's where my OCD kicks in and I had to buy variations of the other colors as well. And boom, my nail polish addiction was born and is growing ever since. Looking up foreign brands and reading english blogs, I learned about Konad stamping but didn't really like the few designs they had and that's where my love for nail art began. I suddenly knew what tiny things I could paint :D And I'm glad I also get to use all my nail polishes and not just have them collect dust!

I live in Europe, Germany to be exact. If I don't paint my nails, I most likely do other crafty things. I also enjoy being outside, taking photos of flowers, playing games, reading books and obsessivly glaring at all the things I collect, hehe.

Why cottonconey? Well I started out on IG in 2014 and was just trying to find a name that didn't include numbers, the words nails, polish or lacquer and had to be something that I love but didn't reveal anything too personal.
I have a huge bunny obsession, they are just so cute and fluffy and adorable. The image of a huge fuzzy cottonball like bunny sounds cute to me so that's how my name was born. Plus, I really like alliterations!

I hope you enjoy my blog! I'm so glad to have you here.
