nail art: Miffy - glow in the dark

It's bunny season, aka my favorite season and for today I chose something I've wanted to do forever: Miffy. I've recently came across this post while randomly browsing planner stuff on IG and loved the simple black and white pattern of the right one.

So here we go, lots of Miffys on my nails. And for a little twist, I made the Miffys glow in the dark :D

My base is Cirque Colors Memento Mori (one coater!!) and I painted the Miffys with white acrylic paint. I topped them with Serum No. 5 Sky Lights, which is a shimmery topper that glows blue in the dark. The fact that it's a topper makes the glow stronger and that's why I picked it today!

piCture pOlish nail art challenge #3: Bluebird

After not seeing that the rules had changed, I'm back joining the piCture pOlish nail art challenge again. Yay! The theme was to paint something inspired by the polish name. And that's right up my alley. I've done quite a few so far and still have a bunch of ideas for the future. But it's finally spring in Germany and I love hearing the birds chirping so my choice was Bluebird created with @kellimarissa.

The pattern is loosely based by this on shutterstock and handpainted with black & white acrylic paint and the polishes Blush, Nougat, Tiffany and Mellow Yellow.

Birthday nail art: Aimez Le Style washi tape inspired

 pr sample

Ahh, oopsie. It's already been a few days since my birthday on Wednesday and I've been quite busy spending it with my family. So much that I actually forgot to write this post. Oh my!

But anyways, here are some more photos of my nails. I kept this beautiful washi tape to use in my planner for my birthday week and thought it'd be nice to have on my nails as well. I absolutely love the illustrations by Aimez Le Style!

Base is Heroine NYC White Noise and everything else is acrylic paint. Nothing new here :D

nail art: washi tape - mt x William Morris 'Strawberry Thief'

Today I've got another example of my botany love for y'all. I'm absolutely obsessed with William Morris patterns. Ugh, I could browse the website all day. Swoon!

Guess how happy I was when one of my favorite washi tape companies collaborated with them? So thrilled! There's 5 different designs made by mt and now I can stick these beautiful patterns all over my planner. Yay!

Of course I tried to make it work on my nails as well. Base is aEngland Tristam, another english classic. And everything else is acrylic paint.

My thumb is my favorite this time. Normally I hate painting my thumb because of the weird angle. :D

Pokémon nail art - Togepi pattern

prsample

Yup, I'm still playing Pokémon GO! I just like collecting stuff and it reminded me of how fun it was when I got my first Gameboy and I played the red and blue edition. All day long! Ah, I wish I was still a kid!

I surprisingly hatched a Togepi last month and thought how cute would it's pattern be on nails. Haha! Of course I did :D

Base is Heroine NYC White Noise and everything else is handpainted with acrylic paint, as usual.

I'm super happy with how they turned out! I really love a good geometric pattern!

Hehe Plate - Japanese Comic Collection: One Piece

pr sample

Let's do one more japanese manga inspired nail art. And these 2 plates (015 and 016) were actually the reason I picked the Japanese Comic collection by Hehe. I freaking love One Piece!

I've been reading and watching One Piece for half of my life. I absolutely love the artwork and character design and the story is awesome. And it's super funny too! :D

I probably could continue swooning about One Piece, but let's move on with my nail art. The waves on 015 caught my attention and I thought I'd use them as background for a little ocean scene. One Piece is all about pirates in case you didn't know!

My base is essie mint candy apple and I stamped the waves with white. I love how thin that image is!

I then decided to add some freehand shapes .ike the ship of the crew: the Thousand Sunny, and some Sea Kings to accompany it. I really wanted to paint more and turn it into a pattern but my nails are too small :( Bummer!

I don't think I did my love for One Piece justice with these, so I guess I'll be trying again one day!

Hehe Plate - Japanese Comic Collection: Sailor Moon nail art

pr sample

Ahh, how I loved Sailor Moon as a kid!! So I was incredibly excited about the Hehe Japanese Comic Collection. Plates 013 and 014 feature some fun images inspired by the manga.

For today I decided to go with the pattern from 014 as my background and stamped it with white over OPI What's With The Cattitude?. It had stars and moons and hearts so my though was to use it as the night sky, however my initial color combo didn't work so I changed it to a light blue. Much happier with that!

With acrylic paint I added houses and the cats Artemis and Luna. I just couldn't decide on a character, hehe. And my nails are anyways rather short for faces. So the cats it was. :)
